Bookstore
Literature that inspires
At Esperanza Café Literario, we have opened a fully-fledged bookstore, created with love for literature and readers. Here, you will find over 1,500 books: Russian and international classics, contemporary literature, poetry, and books for emigrants.
Our features:
• In our shop, you can purchase books covering a wide range of genres, from Russian classics to works by modern authors.
• We also have a library where, for a symbolic fee (1% of the book's price per day), you can borrow books to enjoy at home. Some books from the shop can be transferred to the library for convenience.
Our selection includes:
• Russian classical literature and works by Soviet authors.
• Foreign literature, contemporary prose, and non-fiction.
• Books by modern authors, including émigré writers.
• Books by great writers who created while in exile: Vladimir Nabokov, Joseph Brodsky, Sergey Dovlatov, as well as contemporary authors like Dina Rubina, Lyudmila Ulitskaya, Dmitry Glukhovsky, and many others.
• Books for emigrants on culture, adaptation, and raising bilingual children. Our collection features a curated selection of books to assist the new wave of relocators, provided by our partners—European writers and publishers.
• Poetry collections: from Alexander Pushkin to Joseph Brodsky, including the Silver Age poets: Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva, and Sergey Yesenin.
• Children's books for the youngest readers.
• And much more.
Each book is carefully selected to cater to your literary taste.
